1- We will be using the CloudSim simulation tool in our project.
2- Will have 3 phases in this project.
3- The project will include tool installation, configuration, writing code, results generation, results analysis and reporting.
4- You are asked to submit one report (doc) that includes all your work which should be showing steps, snapshots and results plots for your work.
Phase I:
1- Download and Install CloudSim tool from the following link: http://www.cloudbus.org/cloudsim/
2- Run ALL the basic Examples available in the following page: http://www.cloudbus.org/cloudsim/examples.html
3- Run ALL the Network Examples available in the following page: http://www.cloudbus.org/cloudsim/examples.html
Phase II:
1- Run ALL the Power Examples available in the following page: http://www.cloudbus.org/cloudsim/examples.html
2- Compare all the results achieved by running all different power algorithms in the examples, I’m expecting to see some plots for the comparison part.
Phase III:
1- You are asked to build 5 datacenters with random number of hosts on each one of them (between 3 and 6) host each and run cloudlets of varying number of users (between 10 and 20) on them. This should include a network topology on them.
2- Using the above infrastructure, use at least 4 of the power algorithms from phase II and provide an analysis for the results you achieved.
