Time Domain Signals
Time Domain
Analogue / Continuous time
signals that are defined continuously and (usually) vary with time. E.g. signal from a microphone.
Example simple signal:

Time Domain
Discrete / Sampled signals
usually versions of continuous signals that have been sampled at equal instances of time (Ts)– often via analogue to digital conversion.
Example Signal:
Where is the delta function

Time Domain – Sampling
Changing Ts changes the number of samples, the shape of the signal stays ~ the same until Ts is equal to half the period of the highest frequency contained in the signal.
