To study various non-Euclidean geometries .

Final Examination
An overall course mark of 50% or more guarantees a passing grade of at least D. An overall course mark of 90% or more guarantees a grade of at least A-.
Assignments:
There will be approximately 5 graded assignments during the semester. All assignments will be counted.
Examinations:
Exams are closed book, closed notes. No calculators and no formula sheets are allowed at the exams. Also, mobile phones are not to be brought to exams. Your student photo I.D. is required at exams. Students will not be allowed to begin an examination after it has been in progress for 30 minutes. Students must remain in the exam room until at least 30 minutes has elapsed.
Note: A geometry set is required.
Exam Dates and Times:
Midterm Exam: Thursday, March 3, in class
Final Exam: Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 9:00AM
The Deferred Final Examination: Saturday, May 14, 2022 Students should meet at 8:30AM on the third floor of CAB to register.
Missed Exams:
Please note that the decision for allowing a deferred final exam is made by student’s faculty, not by the instructor. There is NO deferred Midterm Exam. Students who miss the midterm exam for a valid reason (see Section 23.5.6 of the Academic Calendar), may apply for an excused absence. To apply for an excused absence, the student must present (to the instructor) supporting documentation pertaining to the absence within two working days following the scheduled date of the missed midterm exam, or as soon as the students is able. In the case of incapacitating illness, either a medical note or a statutory declaration (which can be obtained at the student’s Faculty Office) will be accepted. If an excused absence is granted, the weight for the midterm Exam will be transferred to the final exam, i.e. the weight of your final exam would be 85%.
An excused absence is a privilege and not a right; there is no guarantee that an absence will be excused. Misrepresentation of Facts to gain an excused absence is a serious breach of the Code of Student Behavior.
Recording of Lectures:
Recording is permitted only with the prior written consent of the professor or if recording is part of an approved accommodation plan.
