Text and plot answers
Step 1 [Text]
alpha = 1.807480637087498
Km = 1.609201295750469

Step 1 [Text]
round(alpha,2)
alpha = 1.81
round(Km,2)
Km = 1.61
As in previous question shown, the result of alpha and Km have infinite non-repeating decimals. Rounding to 2 decimal number is an attributive way in hand calculation, it would result a small calculation error but mostly it would not have big effect as it’s very close to the actual result.

Step 1 [Text]
By comparing the EGB345TestData sheet from the absolute result and the rounding result, it resulted that both t and y1 have the same value.

In this exercise, the purpose to record these two constant numbers is to know how the voltage applied on the motor effects on the voltage seen at the potentiometer. As the result would be a ratio between those two values and so does the transfer function stated, it is likely to choose the approximate numbers.

Step 1 [Plot]
Plot of yn_own (plotted in red) and the data in EGB345TestData, y1 (plotted in blue). (not screen capture).

Step 1 [Plot]
Plot of yn_own (plotted in red) and the shifted/fixed data, yn_own_fixed (plotted in blue). (not screen capture).

Step 1 [Plot]
Plot of yn_own_fixed (plotted in red) and simulated response from your estimated model (plotted in blue). (not screen capture).

Step 2 [Text]
what was your estimate of the model parameters that generated the test data set EGB345TestData? Please report your estimate to 3 significant figures.

Step 2 [Plot]
Plot of both your estimated model response ys (plotted in red) and the data in EGB345TestData (plotted in blue). Saved from matlab (not screen capture).
