Clarification of valid moves in our camp

We need to move further away from [0,0] in this situation. However, what is the definition of the distance? In @365, only “Green” moves are valid, but why “Blue” moves are not valid?

I believe blue is not valid because of the following statement in the addendum: “To move ¡°further away¡±, you should simply move so that you either move further away horizontally (while not moving closer vertically), or vertically (while not moving closer horizontally), or both.”
In the blue moves, the piece is moving closer vertically or horizontally which violates the rule.

Sorry I don’t get why the blue moves are invalid? We can move the piece further away from the corner either horizontally or vertically and the blue actions move the piece away from the corner horizontally or vertically.

I mean, if we compute the distance like geometrical distance, then “Blue” moves are valid.(d(Blue_moves) is 2 and d(B) is the square root of 2) The only situation that “Blue” will be invalid is d = (x-0)+(y-0), then “Blue” moves will have the same distance as the origial piece.
I need some clarification on this important issue, and please let me know if I am correct to use geometrical distance, thanks! ______________________
Update, sorry for this post, I missed something from the Addendum. Only Green moves are valid
