CSE 101 Technology Use

Winter 2021

In order to hold classes remotely, we are going to need to make use of technology to run
various class functions. This is new to many of us, so this document will try to explain the
technology being used by the class and rules for using it. Note that this document will evolve
over time as we figure out what policies work and what does not.

Lectures:

• Lectures will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:00-1:50pm pacific over
Zoom meeting. Directing your browser to https://ucsd.zoom.us/j/93843292201?

group meeting for lecture.

• Please mute your microphone during lecture except when you are asking a question.

• If you have a short question, you can ask the TA in chat. If you have a longer question,
please announce it in chat so that you can be called on when I have a break in the
lecture.

• I will occasionally ask polling questions. Please spend some time to consider your
answer before responding.

• Lectures will be recorded so that they can be posted on the course webpage. You will
be able to watch them later, however, it is strongly recommended that you attend live
lectures when possible.
