SIT264 Authoring of Interactive Media Assignment 1 – Skills Portfolio

Assignment Overview:
This assignment is designed for students to collected the outcomes of a series of practical activities and present those outcomes within a Portfolio presentation. For this assessment task students will use the built in portfolio tool which can be found in the Unit Site through the Tools tab. The assignment involves completing a total of 6 practical activities throughout the trimester and presenting the outcomes within a portfolio presentation.
Students will be required to produce outcomes from their practical activities and then embed those outcomes within a Portfolio presentation. It is expected that each week’s activities will be presented within the same overall portfolio presentation file on their own individual page within that presentation,
Your Portfolio Presentation should also include an Introduction page, which outlines the following points:
• The purpose of the portfolio
• An overview of the content and skills that will be found within the portfolio
• A reflective statement (50-100 words) outline what you learnt through the practical
activities.
• An optional graphic – if you include a graphic it should have meaning to the overall
assessment task.
Assignment Submission Requirements:
For each of the required Practical activity that you will need to add to your Portfolio, you will need to complete the following:
• An introduction: The introduction should be brief and should introduce the Practical session and exercise that you are presenting. (e.g. a short introductory paragraph for the task.)
• All Working Files: Your portfolios presentation should include your working files:
 A demonstration file (for example: sketches, movie files, HTML pages, etc.)

 all source files were appropriate (including code and/or script)
 and any external asset files which have been included within your working files.
For example, any text, images, sounds files etc…
• A reflection paragraph: The reflection is to be presented as a “reflection” element
within the Portfolio, as this is date stamped with the time of creation. It should not be presented in a textbox.
 The reflection questions will be presented at the end of each Practical worksheet, which you can find in resources section of the Unit Site.
Important Note: In addition, all third party text, images, videos and sound used in your movies must be acknowledged within the appropriate and relevant Portfolio page in a reference section. (E.g. all third party content should be referenced correctly using the Harvard style of referencing.)

Submission requirements for Assignment 1:
