Altium Demo
A quick demo of Altium Designer, what you should have done/will be doing in labs today
• Layout of Schematic
• Create PCB
• Use of templates
Good Practices with schematics
• Logical layout, input left to output right
• Control signals may come in from the top
• You should label all your nets
• All net labels should be on wires
• No wires through any text
Good Practice with schematics
• Power and Ground Bars used rather than net labels
• All power bars should be upwards
• All GND bars should point downwards
• All power and Ground Bar values are visible
