CSE 516 Project Report Requirements
The final project report that you submit should adhere to the following requirements:
• Title page with your name, date, and title of project
• If it is a group project, then you must list all of the names of the members
of the group
• Following the title page, write an abstract summarizing the project,
interesting aspects of the project, and the salient results. If you have a
particularly significant finding, make sure you highlight it here.
• The body of the report should present the project in detail.
o Begin with a discussion/outline of the main idea of the project and/or your thesis/impetus for pursuing the project.
o Follow the introduction with a progressive, detailed discussion of the project. If your project was a simulation or test, make sure you include any assumptions you made regarding the test environment or simulation.
o Place a results section after the main body discussion. If you report was experimental/simulation in nature, include graphs, tables, etc. presenting your results. If you pursued a theoretical project, make sure you present the significant findings of your analysis and research here.
• The next/final section should be a summary of everything that was presented.
• If your project was a group report, the final section will be a detailed discussion of each member’s contribution to the project. I will be using this to make decisions on project grade distinctions if necessary.
